Normal girls get flowers for Valentines Day. People who know the two of us together know there is nothing normal about our relationship.
My freshman-junior year of college, he sent flowers on President's Day with a note that always read, "Everyone gets flowers on Valentines Day, but only YOU get flowers for President's Day".
My senior year of college, I received an autographed baseball from him. What famous person signed it? He did. He told me it would be worth lots of money someday.
Last year, to appease my Grey's Anatomy obsession, he bought me something related to it. The actual book, "Gray's Anatomy".
He loves to make me laugh above all else.
He outdid himself this year. After my vet appointment, I walked to my front porch to see a container reading perishable goods.
Yes, my friends I received a Lobster Gram. At first I thought a live lobster would jump out at me, but after carefully opening the box. I saw a pre-packaged dinner for two. His note read:
Hey baby, Since I couldn't be there to take you out, I figured I would bring dinner to you. Happy President's Day. I love you.
Its my favorite dinner, reserved only for special occasions.
While everyone else received flowers, I received a lobster gram. I am the luckiest girl in the world.
Now I just to find someone to eat a nice, fancy dinner with me.

Flash Back
Looking over my answers from my last Q&A, I mentioned how I hate his sense of urgency with things and how we handle pre-arguments with humor. This morning as I let the dogs out, I realized when it gets warmer, I will be cutting the grass a lot more and it took me back to my most recent birthday.
He insisted on cutting the backyard himself because he wanted it done a certain way (I didn't ask). He promised me for about two weeks he would cut it tomorrow. The day of my birthday, we planned on having people over so I began my massive spring cleaning including cutting the front yard.
Daisy needed to go outside, so of course I let her out. And I am not even kidding, I lost my 10 week old puppy in the tall grass. I knew something needed to be done. So after I cut the front, I need to drag the lawn mower into the shed in the backyard.
I then had an idea.
I turned the lawn mower on as soon as I reached the backyard and cut a very distinct zig-zag pattern path heading to the shed towards the other end of the yard. I smiled.
You see, I know him a little too well. He is a perfectionist... a procrastinator too, but a perfectionist, none the less.
When he came home, he saw the backyard and asked "What did you do". And I replied with a very calm, "I just cut a path to the shed, that's all". He then nodded his head and immediately changed his clothes and cut the entire backyard.
While he cut the yard, his boss, who was planning on attending my little birthday party, called to ask about details. He asked what the love of my life was currently doing and I smiled and said "Cutting the backyard" and his boss asked, "How did you get him to do that" (it was a topic at many get togethers weeks before).
I then told him my story and he replied, "Oh, you are good at this".
So Rule #1 with living together, use trickery :)

Q&A Part Two
All About Us
How did you meet?
We took the same weight training class the summer after my freshman year of high school, but never spoke. We apparently both "checked" each other out on several occasions during the summer.
One night my friends decided to head over to another football players house to race. (Yes, I mean car race, boys!). The boys raced, both pulled over, and let off with no ticket. He later became separated from his friends and met up with my friends and I in a gas station parking lot. We flirted and went our separate ways.
That night he found my screen name and IMed me. And the beauty of AOL...after several days of chatting online, I asked him out on our first date :)
Your favorite physical feature of *him*?
His chest. Weird I know, but he is always in such great shape and I love how safe I feel when I rest my head upon his chest.
What was the hardest thing about moving in with him?
Nothing, we moved in together on a whim and I left a lot behind, but I knew it was exactly where we both belonged.
What did you/do you fight about the most?
The timing of when we get around to things...Other than that, not much fighting from us. We use humor as a defense mechanism so we never let things get tense between us.
What was your favorite date?!
What you guys plan to do when he gets back?
Go on more dates! Like the abnormal, dates you see on the Bachelor.
We both agreed to go on a "first" date when he returns with him picking me up at "my" house and surprise me with the date details.
Although, he always laughs and says, "You mean OUR house".
What is your dream destination?
Whatever suits us at the time. Ideally I want great school systems and relatively close to our families.
What is your dream army installation destination?
I like where we live now, Fort Campbell. Yes between HI, Germany, and CO, I like Kentucky/Tennessee. It has a somewhat southern appeal while only being 6 hours from our families.
Have you picked out your unborn children's names yet?
I would love to name our first son after my grandfather, Tucker Emmit. And lately, I really like the name Rebecca for a girl. However, I probably should ask him.
Can you believe after 8 years, we never discussed children's names?!
What's your ideal wedding visioning?
A VERY simple, outdoor wedding in the summer on some historic plantation/mansion.
What is a personal goal while he's gone?
I find myself in just 10 weeks of deployment, waiting until he returns, hoping to rush time. Just a few months ago, I found myself waiting until he left, trying to slow down time.
My most important goal during his deployment would be to stop waiting on his return and enjoy this time. I live a beautiful life surrounded by many blessings. Yes, the love of my life lives in another country, a very dangerous country, and I cannot wait to touch/see him again, but if I try and rush things too fast, I will end up rushing the rest of my life, and find myself always "waiting" on something.

Dave and I are not date people. We love being around a group of people or cuddling on the couch, watching a movie or a TV show. Even go to a restaurant, just the two of us is a treat.
However, my favorite weekend, he surprised me with a trip to a beautiful Bed & Breakfast in Tolland, Connecticut.

Your favorite sport?
I grew up loving volleyball, but played basketball my entire life. I loved watching baseball as a kid, but live for football season. I always tell people, picking a favorite sport is like picking a favorite child.
If you had to wear the same outfit everyday for the rest of your life (assuming it would always be clean and in good condition), what would it be?
Well although I would pick the outfit below, I figured if its everyday, I should look presentable....Dark Express jeans and black button down shirt with Steve Madden flats.

Favorite outfit in your closet now?
My favorite outfit is actually my black yoga pants and a Wabash College football sweatshirt my brother bought him that may be 5 sizes to big for me.
One outfit you wish was in your closet now, price not being a boundary?
I honestly, truly wish I just loved clothes more, I am SO simple when it comes to clothes. But I would love an amazing pair of expensive jeans that fit just right everywhere.
Favorite thing to eat or cook?
Cupcakes
Do you ever still wish the dogs were cuddly little puppies?
I do and I definitely do not. I love how they have their own personality now, I love how they play fetch, listen to me, and protect me. And I do NOT miss accidents on the floor. So I guess I love them all grown up, I think they are more fun now.

Week Nine
Well I am nine weeks into deployment plus a few days. His mom came down to visit and we mostly shopped and hung out. She bought us a beautiful "early" wedding gift.
His mom, CLR, her friend and I watched "he's just not that into you". Now I am not the best movie critic, but I enjoyed it thoroughly. I thought funny and dead on about many relationship issues. Overall, I loved that she came to visit and check up on me.
This past week might be one of my favorite weeks
- Started scrapbooking finally and now officially addcited with four pages down
- Met with a photographer for possible boudoir photos (oh I said it out loud)
- Wonderful lunch date with Jeni for Valentines
- My best friend delievered a baby girl
And even though its part of my week ten update, CLR did decide to join me for kickboxing. She is going to regret it tomorrow, but I cannot wait to get her addicted as well :)
I am still taking questions for my 100th post. Tomorrow I promise to start answering!

My best friend delivered her first baby, a daughter this morning. I want to post her picture because the baby is absolutely gorgeous, but my blackberry does not want to cooperate!
How fitting, a baby is born the same day as my 100th blog entry, haha. I am just so excited for her :)
And to jump on the bandwagon, I too am opening my blog up for the first time to questions! I do not know who came up with this idea, but it is genius.
